About iHub Anubhuti IIITD
iHub Anubhuti-IIITD Foundation (iHub Anubhuti) has been established by IIIT-Delhi as a Section 8 company to implement and realise the objectives of NM-ICPS of the Department of Science and Technology. The main focus of iHub Anubhuti will be on new knowledge, technology solutions, skilled human resources, and an enabling eco-system for entrepreneurship in the field of Cognitive
Computing & Social Sensing (CC&SS).
TiH aims at building collaboration between industries, academia, and government agencies on developing data-driven cognitive computing solutions, mainly in verticals – Healthcare, Legal Information Systems and Education in CC&SS. It will also encourage and promote entrepreneurial activities and start-ups in the areas of “Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing”.
About Chanakya Fellowship
Offered at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels, the tenure-track faculty is expected to engage heavily in research and teaching in CPS or related areas and should preferably; complement the ongoing work in the host institution. The eligibility criteria for tenure-track faculty positions will be similar to those in IITs.
Objective
To provide support for faculties heavily engaged in research and teaching in CPS or related areas and complementing the ongoing work in the Host Institution in areas of the CPS Domain.

Eligibility
- The candidate should have two years of experience post-completion of the Ph.D.
- This experience is expected to be in industry or academia in Cognitive Computing, Social Sensing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other allied technologies.
- Demonstrate excellence in research through technology development, patents, and publications in top-tier journals/conferences.
- The candidate should be in regular employment in an institute of repute.
Project Duration
1 year which may be extended further up to 3 years subject to outcome and performance.
Fellowship Grant
An honorarium of Rs. 30,000/- per month in addition to existing regular income and an annual grant of Rs. 1,00,000/– as contingency support for travel for attending the conferences/workshops/ research etc.
Expected Outcomes
IP/Technology
A commitment of about 10 hours per month in research, mentoring, evaluation, training and other allied activities of iHub.
Terms and Conditions
- Rules of host institutes where the fellowship is tenable will be applicable; research grants/ overheads are to be paid to the host institute.
- Researchers if availing of any other Fellowship cannot apply for CHANAKYA, also if CHANAKYA Fellowship has been granted from iHub Anubhuti, the researcher cannot avail of any other fellowship program.
- iHub Anubhuti reserves all rights regarding making changes in the selection process.
- All deliverables of the fellowship, e.g. publications or technology, must acknowledge the support of the iHub Anubhuti IIITD Foundation.
