About Scholarship
The Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, administers the admission process for recognized professional courses in various educational institutions, including Government, Government Aided, and Permanent Unaided Colleges, as well as Government Universities and their affiliated centres.

By offering assistance through Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna, the government aims to empower and enable these students to pursue their academic aspirations without facing significant financial hurdles. It is a testament to the commitment toward inclusive education, ensuring that financial constraints do not impede deserving students’ access to quality education in Maharashtra’s educational landscape.
Guidelines
- Preference in admission is given to students whose parents are small-land farmers, registered labourers or who come from economically weaker backgrounds.
- The admission procedure doesn’t consider applications through management quotas or organizational levels.
- This centralized admission process excludes Private Recognized and Self-Financed Private Universities.
- This special scheme aims to alleviate financial burdens for economically disadvantaged students seeking higher education within recognized institutions.
