About NIT Silchar
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, was established in 1967 as a regional engineering college and attained the prestigious status of NIT in 2002. Established in 2008, the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (E&IE) has BTech, MTech and PhD programs. State-of-the-art labs like Sensors & Transducers, Process Control

Industry 5.0 is based on “human-centred automation”, which aims to empower and augment human capabilities rather than fully replacing them with machines. By leveraging technologies such as AI, IoT, Robotics, augmented reality, and blockchain, Industry 5.0 seeks to create work environments that are safer, more efficient, and conducive to human well-being. This enables personalized and customized
production, flexible manufacturing systems, real-time data analysis, predictive maintenance, and improved customer experiences.
