JNCASR emphasizes societal relevance through outreach programs and has generated over 350 patents, contributing to national innovation and technological advancement.
About Summer Research Fellowship Programme
The Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) is a flagship initiative of JNCASR, launched in 1991, offering science and engineering students at the bachelor’s and master’s levels the opportunity to train at prestigious institutions across India. Focused on Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Engineering, the program selects around 70 meritorious students each year. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000 for two months. Over 2,600 students have benefited from this program, which is highly regarded for inspiring early-stage students towards scientific research. Many SRFP alumni have gone on to pursue successful careers in science and engineering, both in India and abroad.
