About Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University is the first University established in 1998
by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act,
1998 read with its Amendment in 1999. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of the UGC Act.
It is a teaching and affiliating University with the explicit objective of facilitating and promoting studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with a focus on professional education. The University promotes the establishment of colleges and schools of study as Centre of Excellence in Emerging Areas of education with a focus on professional education in disciplines of engineering, technology, medicine, education, pharmacy, law, etc.
About Idea LAB
AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Labs are being established by AICTE across the country to encourage students to application of science, technology engineering and mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning by doing and even product visualization.
Objectives
- The proposed FDP is designed to offer a unique opportunity for the participants to interact with prominent experts from the industry, faculty from premier academic institutions, and distinguished practitioners working in the area of recent trends in the Internet of Things (IoT).
- Lectures will be delivered by eminent experts, who have rich teaching and industrial experience in their respective fields of application.
- The main features of this FDP include Experiential, and Outcome-based Teaching, Industrial Visits, Detailed knowledge about various sensors, data loggers, how to retrieve data from the sensors and how to either upload or retrieve the data from the cloud, Collaborative Learning, Hands-on sessions, Polls and Voting etc.
- The primary target group for the FDP are teachers of Colleges, University departments, Academic Institutions, Research Scholars, UG and PG students who are engaged in research (or) planning to undertake research and industry personnel.

- Application of IoT and Computer Vision in Plant disease detection.
Salient Features
- The FDP will be conducted in Offline mode.
- Industrial experts will form teams (5-6 members per team) from the registered attendees.
- Experts will explain the importance of the topic, and suggest a study.
- Hands-on Sessions will be provided each day followed by which each Participant will do teaching practice during the FDP as a mandatory requirement.
- One assessment will be conducted during the FDP (Combination of MCQs/ short answers/reasoning based etc.)
- The certificates will be issued to those participants who have attended the Programme with a minimum of 80% attendance and scored a minimum of 70% marks on the test.
- Industrial Visits may be organized, if participants are willing to bear the travel cost.
- The certificate will be issued by AICTE-IDEA Lab and USIC&T, GGSIP University.
