1. Pivot Fellowship 2025- Research Fellowship Program by Simons Foundation

Researchers are invited to apply for the Pivot Fellowship program that will support researchers with a strong track record of success and achievement in their current field, and a deep interest, curiosity and drive to make contributions to a new discipline.

  • Eligibility: Fellows and mentors must hold a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree in the natural sciences (astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, neuroscience and physics), engineering, mathematics, data science or computer science — and all subdisciplines therein — and be faculty at an academic institution or hold an equivalent position.
  • Amount: A Pivot Fellowship provides one year of salary support of the fellow’s academic-year salary, whether normally paid over nine or 12 months, and a $10,000 research.

2. Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025

ICGEB offers Short-term fellowships for Postdoctoral studies in ICGEB Component laboratories to fund ongoing collaborative research between scientists from ICGEB Member States and research groups at ICGEB laboratories in Trieste, Italy, New Delhi, India and Cape Town, South Africa, with the aim of facilitating access to the latest research techniques and to strengthen capacity building.

3. Indo-French Call for Joint Research and Innovation Project Proposals 2025

To catalyze a stronger and rejuvenated Indo-French scientific partnership, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, and French National Research Agency (ANR), France are launching the 1st joint call for submission of the project proposals in “Green Hydrogen Innovations for Sustainable Energy Solutions”. This is in pursuance of the decision taken during the second meeting of the Indo-French Joint Committee of Science and Technology (JCST) which took place in Delhi NCR on January 18th, 2024.

4. USIEF Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships 2026-27

The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships are designed for highly motivated individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities, have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree, have at least three years professional work experience, and are committed to return and contribute to their communities in India.

  • Eligibility: Must have completed an equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks. Applicants must either possess a four-year bachelor’s degree or a completed master’s degree; or a full-time postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian institution, if the bachelor’s degree is of less than four years’ duration;

5. IGSTC 2+2 Call 2025-Research Grant by Indo-German Science & Technology Centre

Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC), established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Government of Germany to promote research partnership of industrial relevance invites First Stage Proposals for joint R&D&I projects of industrial relevance in 2+2 Mode of Partnership in the thematic area.

  • Eligibility: Applicants from public and private non-profit research organisations, public and private institutions of higher education, universities and public or private companies having R&D bases are eligible to submit an application. Principal investigators should be holding a regular/permanent position. Applications of SME´s are encouraged.
  • Funding: Funding will be provided in the form of grants amounting up to ₹ 350 Lakhs per project for Indian partners (including up to INR 150 Lakhs for industry subject to the matching contribution from industry) and up to € 500.000 per project for German partners, for a period of up to three years, to cover project related costs including research staff. An additional funding period of up to two years maybe granted in exceptional cases.

Amity University, Noida is offering an Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Programme in June 2025. 7. Indo-Pacific Futures Fellowship 25-26 by East-West Center

Many of today’s biggest challenges arise from issues related to access to resources, environmental and economic instability, and gaps in effective governance. Addressing these requires leadership that is innovative, forward-thinking, and responsive to the needs of communities. Now in its second year, the Indo-Pacific Futures Fellowship from the East-West Center and the Doris Duke Foundation will examine the vital connections between food security, energy systems, and leadership for the greater good.

  • Eligibility: 5 to 10 years of professional leadership experience in any aspect of food and energy systems, including advocacy work in these sectors. Experience may comprise but is not limited to: elected officials, government agency representatives, advocacy group leaders, topic experts, community and industry leaders, artists, activists, and social and business entrepreneurs.
  • Desirable: A minimum of 3 years of studies in a higher education institution sanctioned by a degree representing a full-time program of study is preferred but not required.

8. INSA Visiting Scientist Programme 2025

The Academy has been supporting basic and applied research in India since its inception. The type and quantum of support has changed over the years with the emergence of funding agencies of the Government of India that support scientific research. Presently the Academy supports individual scientists through the following programmes: INSA Distinguished Professorship; INSA Senior Scientist Programme; INSA Honorary Scientist Programme and INSA Emeritus Scientist Programme.

  • No. of Awards: The number of INSA-Visiting Scientist positions to be awarded each year will be a maximum of 120 human months.
  • Duration: The visiting position shall be availed to a scientist for a minimum period of one month to a maximum of six months in a laboratory or a research institution in a location in India.

Each year, Rotary awards fully funded fellowships for dedicated leaders from around the world to study at one of our peace centers. Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops the capacity of peace and development professionals or practitioners to become experienced and effective catalysts for peace.

10. Teach for India Fellowship 2026

The Teach For India Fellowship is an empowering movement to revolutionise education in India.

  • Eligibility: You are eligible to apply for the 2026 Fellowship cohort if you:
    • Completed graduation by June/July 2026.
    • Are applying for the first time for 2026 Fellowship cohort, since July 2025.
    • Are a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

  • Stipend: As a Teach For India Fellow, you will be paid a stipend of INR 25,344 per month. If you are relocating from your home city, you will receive a City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) ranging from INR 6,000 to INR 12,600 depending on your placement city during the Fellowship.
  • Location: As a Teach For India Fellow, you will be placed in schools in underserved communities in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai or Pune. All Fellows will be required to reside in one of these cities during the period of the Fellowship.

11. Google PhD Fellowship Program 2025

Google PhD Fellowships directly support graduate students as they pursue their PhD, as well as connect them to a Google Research Mentor.

  • Eligibility: Students must remain enrolled full-time in the PhD program for the duration of the Fellowship or forfeit the award.

12. IndiaAI Fellowship 2025 under the IndiaAI Mission

As part of the FutureSkills initiative, IndiaAI Mission announces fellowships for PhD scholars. The IndiaAI FutureSkills aims to mitigate barriers to entry into AI programs by focusing on all levels of higher education in AI and will coordinate with existing efforts in skilling. Under this initiative, IndiaAI will offer fellowships to full-time PhD scholars researching in the field of artificial intelligence.
