About IIT Ropar
At present, IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Ropar offers a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programme in the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
This programme is spread over a period of eight semesters. The institute also offers an M.Tech programme in several disciplines including Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility/ Qualification & Experience:
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech) along with anyone of the following:
- Qualified National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGCNET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) or GATE.
- Postgraduate/Graduate degree must be in CS,ECE, or allied fields.
