Applications are invited for JRF at NIT Karnataka Under CSIR Funded Project for the year 2023. The last date of application is 31 August.

Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of JRF to work on the R&D project titled “Design and fabrication of on-chip vertical hybrid plasmonic waveguide based nanograting gas sensor” supported by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – CSIR, Govt of India. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for one year (on contract) and the services will be extended for next year based on the performance review.

Eligibility

B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech./M.E./MS(R)/equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecommunications / VLSI/ Communication Engg/ Signal Processing/ Instrumentation Technology / E&E / Computer Science & Engineering / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electronics & Control / Biomedical Engineering/Medical Electronics/Information Science/ Information Science and Engineering/Information Technology / Engineering Physics/ Material Science & Engineering/Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/ Optical Communication/Photonics/ Plasmonics/ Optics/ RF/ Radar Engg./Microwave Photonics/, and related areas.

Candidates must have at least 55% percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full-time program. Proof of B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech./M.E./MS(R)/ or equivalent certificate has to be provided during the time of interview. These are the minimum eligibility criteria. The short-listing criteria may vary according to the number of applications received.

Application

Interested candidates must apply with the following documents:

  • Bio-data with passport-sized photograph,
  • Scanned copies of educational certificates and mark sheets, class XII onwards
  • GATE/ NET qualified certificate , and
  • Scanned copies of Proof for research experience, special achievements and publications, if any.

The soft copies of all the above documents (pdf format) must be emailed to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Mandeep Singh, Email id: mandeep.singh@nitk.edu.in ) on or before 31th August 2023. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.

The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis coterminus with the project. Candidates who are already employed should produce relieving certificate from their employers, if selected. The shortlisted candidates with the date of written test/interview will be intimated by email only.

Duration

36 months.

Salary

Rs. 31,000/- (Per month for 1st & 2nd years). Rs. 35,000/- (Per month for 3rd years). *as per CSIR norms.
