Applications are invited from the suitable candidates for the one (01) post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a ICMR Ad-hoc Research Scheme Project titled “Artificial Intelligence based reproducible diagnostic solution for early stage detection of furcation radiolucency in primary mandibular molars” at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
About PU
Panjab University is located in Sector 14 and Sector 25 of Chandigarh, spreading across an area of almost 550 acres.
The layout of two campuses of the University has been conceived to meet the academic, administrative, sports/recreational, residential and other requirements of a growing University. To make it self-contained, infrastructural facilities like its own Shopping Centre, Health Centre, Bank, Post office, Swimming Pool, Gymnasium, Sports Grounds, Botanical Gardens, well maintained parks, Open Air Theatre, Guest Houses, Faculty House, Seminar Complexes, Alumni House, Community Centre and a school, have been provided. Besides these facilities, the University Campus has 8 hostels for boys, 9 hostels for girls, a Working Women Hostel and 2 sports hostels.
Duration
Two (02) years or position is coterminous with the project. Initial appointment will be for One Year, which is extendable up to 2 years solely based on the performance. The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis and the position is coterminous with the project.

Eligibility
Bachelor Degree/Master Degree in Engineering and Technology in CSE/IT/ ECE/or equivalent allied branch Those who have qualified UGC-NET/GATE or a National level test by agencies and institutions like DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, ISSER, PU, etc. would be preferred.
Job Responsibility
To perform work assigned and assist the PI and Co-PIs in various phases of the research project.

Salary
Rs. 31,000/- per month + 18% HRA (Rs. 5580 per month) = Rs 36,580 per month.
