About NIT Trichy
National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) is one of the premier institutions in India and is well known for its high standards of teaching and research. It offers 10 undergraduate and 23 postgraduate programs in disciplines spanning engineering, science, architecture, and management. The government of India has declared it an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act.
Eligibility
- B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation /Electrical /Electronics /Mechatronics/Biomedical/ Materials with 1st class from a recognized University/Institute and valid GATE score Or
- M.E/M.Tech in Control /Instrumentation /Electrical /Electronics/Biomedical/Mechatronics /Engineering Design or related specialisation. UG and PG are from a recognized university/institute with 1st class.
Desirable
Research experience in designing and developing transducers, RF amplifiers, advanced measurement units, and COMSOL/ANSYS simulation.

Salary
- Rs. 37000 +18% HRA per month for the first 2 years
- Rs. 42000+18% HRA per month for the 3rd year
Duration
One year; extendable based on performance up to three years or until the project duration, whichever is earlier.
Important Points
- Preference will be given to candidates with good academic records, valid GATE scores, research potential, and relevant experience. However, the candidate will be selected based on their performance in the Interview.
- Candidates shall bring along with them the original certificates (Aadhar, degree certificates, mark list, experience certificate) for verification at the time of the interview.
- The selected candidates are expected to be involved in purchasing equipment and inventories for the project, developing prototypes and experimental setup, and testing.
- The selected candidates will be permitted to register for PhD programme as per NITT rules and regulations.
- The interview date will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates by E-mail.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- The selection committee’s decision is final. If any applicant is found to canvass in any manner, the candidate selection shall be summarily rejected.
