About BITS Pilani
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Hyderabad campus is one of India’s premier technical and science institutes of higher learning. It was established by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (Rajasthan), as one of its latest campuses in 2008, with the first batch graduating in 2012. BITS, Pilani is one of India’s top technical and science universities, and it was established under Sec. 3 of the UGC act.
The sprawling campus is built amidst lush greenery spreading over 200 acres of land at Jawahar Nagar, Shameerpet, Hyderabad. Surrounded by natural beauty, the campus is about 70 kilometers away from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad and 27 kilometers from Secunderabad railway station. The campus is easily accessible by road with a bus stop just outside the campus. Public transport (route# 212) runs every one hour from Secunderabad to the campus. The campus is in close proximity to many schools, medical facilities, and recreational centers.
Job Details
This project aims to develop charging schemes for solar-assisted wide band gap-based fast EV chargers. The candidate will assist the PI in developing and testing the control algorithms and prototype development of the complete system.
Qualification
First class M.E/M.Tech in power electronics/power quality/control systems or equivalent fields from a recognized University or equivalent. Prior working experience developing algorithms for electric vehicle charging, controller-based hardware projects, and knowledge of power electronics-based systems/courses will be an added advantage.

Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.

Stipend
Rs. 37,000/- (initially first two years) per month for GATE/NET-qualified candidates. Rs.42,000/- Per month for the third year as SRF.
