About the Scholarship
The University of Bristol is a red brick Russell Group research university in Bristol, England. It received its royal charter in 1909, although it can trace its roots to a Merchant Venturers’ school founded in 1595 and University College, Bristol, which had been in existence since 1876.
The Think Big Scholarship scheme offers tuition fee scholarships of up to £26,000 per year of study, as well as one-off living cost bursaries of up to £3,000 to support prospective international students at the University of Bristol.

Important details
Eligibility | You can apply if you: -have applied to any eligible one-year, full-time taught master’s programme, or one of our eligible two-year programmes: MSc Social Work and MA Law -are starting your master’s programme in September 2025 -are classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes. You do not need to have an offer to study before submitting an international scholarship application. |
Application deadline | Applications will close at 10 am (UK time) on Wednesday 23 April 2025. |
Granting | Prospective international students can apply for funding towards the cost of tuition fees and living costs. Scholarship awards for postgraduate international students are valued at £6,500, £13,000 and £26,000 per year and can only be used towards the cost of tuition fees. |
Procedure | Apply via the online application form. Before beginning your scholarship application, prospective applicants must have applied to an eligible course of study at the University of Bristol and received an application ID. There are three questions that you will need to complete. The maximum character count is 1000 for each question, and each question is worth 10 marks. The questions are different for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants so please make sure that you are completing the correct scholarship application form. |
